Ode to the off road bike rider from a spectator:

The courage, the strength, not to forget the thrill. Amazing to watch as you glide over the hill. How you hold on to something moving so fast. Wearing boots helmet and a funky mask The dust the cheer blood pumping through your veins There you go … absolutely insane… One thing is for sure, it’s something I won’t do. The crashes and broken bones, I’ll leave that up to you… But I will stand here and cheer as your bike rides on by Cheering your name, loud into the sky… Amazed and in awe of all that you do… Hats off to the bikes and the riders too.   http://glendasangels.blogspot.com/ My Sister is Riding the Desert 1000. No need to know all the answers or feel secure, Just keep walking on and keep yourself pure, With each step forward, the path will be clear, And the light will guide you, it's always near. So get up, stand up, with your chin up and smile, The decision is yours, to walk that extra mile, And know that with each step you take, ...

Ode to the twin

So I'll honour our bond in everything I do. Until the day, when Earth's journey is through. In the quiet of the night, beneath a silver glow, Where the river whispers secrets only the moon would know. Through the shadows, softly, a gentle breeze will sigh, Carrying the dreams that the stars alone can fly. Underneath this canopy, where time and tide unite, Hearts are bound by rivers deep, in the arms of night. Oh, the moonlit river dreams, where our souls are free, In the dance of shimmering beams, lighting destiny. Floating on the silent streams, wrapped in harmony, Oh, the moonlit river dreams, like a symphony. Among the stones and whispers, we walk on sacred ground, Listening to the echoes, where lost hopes are found. The trees stand tall like guardians, watching from the shore, As the river flows in tales, from time long before. When the night holds tight its secrets, And the shadows softly fade, We’ll find peace in the reflection, That this moonlit river made. Oh, the moon...
