Earth Mother
She whispers secrets of the past, Of lands that have risen and then have passed. Of creatures that roamed and lived with grace, And left their mark upon this place. She speaks of oceans and skies so blue, Of mountains tall and valleys too. Of sunsets that paint the sky so bright, And stars that twinkle through the night. She tells of winds that blow so strong, Of thunderstorms that rage on and on. Of earthquakes and tornadoes so wild, That leave their mark, but always mild. She whispers of the beauty and the pain, Of life that grows and love that remains. Of hope and happiness and joy so real, That always shines, no matter how you feel. So listen closely to what Mother Earth says, Take care of her in all of your ways. And cherish all her secrets, so great, And never forget, she is our fate.
