Dove Apologising to God
One of my most favorite poems of all times is Anthony Eatons Poem" The Dove apologises to His God for Being Killed by the cat" I picture a solo piece, just a spotlight on you and the rest of the stage in darkness. "My Lord, I was accustomed to swill about the sky with the speed of my own strength; I swayed flickering in the sun, I outswerved the hawk, the trees were gardens of danger and delight for my passing. I sent my wings, and all the world and all its cloud-companions swiveled with the crazy shift- I was quicker than noon and night, quicker than my hunter's guns, quicker than tempest's fist, the universe danced for my mind and my mind was like a feather on the wind, gone before they knew it there...
